Outward journey via the eastern Anti-Atlas,
return via the southern slope of Mount Siroua.

Taroudant → Tata

  • Cross the Anti-Atlas via Igherm Pass
  • Visit fortified granary of Ida ou Kensous
  • Spend night in the pre-Saharan oasis of Tata

2

Tata → Chegaga

  • Visit Tata
  • Take desert road from Tata to Foum Z’guid
  • Take track to Chegaga
  • Sunset camel ride
  • Night under canvas, bivouacking in the dunes

3

Tata → Taroudant

  • Sunrise over the dunes
  • Bivouac breakfast
  • Return to Taroudant via Tazenacht (centre of Aït Ouaouzguite carpet-making) then Taliouine (saffron capital of Morocco)
  • Visit fortified granary of Ifri n’Imadine
  • Arrive in Taroudant by nightfall

Tours run from October 1 to May 31 – summers are just too hot. Within that period, you are free to pick the dates that suit you. A down payment of 50% of the total expedition price is payable at the time of reservation, the remainder on departure.
Price includes accommodation, food and transport.
